Valentine's Day 2011

just a quick update on my valentine's day 2011

spent it with dearest Lester Ng

a very short but meaningful V'day we had!

because he worked OT, almost couldn't meet for our movie "Black Swan" that is showing at 9.40pm

in the end he managed to sneak off from his work

and I cabbed to Bugis

a small surprise from him as he gave me the roses =D

it cost a bomb!

but I'm happy..

feel so proud of these roses as I walked down the mall seeing other gfs who did not have any roses in their hands

or some who only had one stalk but I had 12!

heehee!

thanks to the TooT

but I couldn't bear to see those roses wither =(

its still laying red in my house but with a few brown, withered stains already

how I wish those flowers could last eternally >.<

Anyway I'm really busy these few days and thats why the lack of updates

CNY was totally busy with lion dancing

if there is no school, there would be lion dance

no lion dance, there would be school

feel quite sad that I haven't got a chance to visit my friends out there who are busy "bai nian-ing"

and now I'm left with little time to study for my final exams!

and after one week of my final exams my internship starts!

I've got to dress like an OL!

Me and Ah Cai is finally taking up Driving!

I'm all-so-excited about it

not only excited about learning to drive, but also being classmates with Ah Cai again!

and I'm totally surprised by our ability to talk and ignore the rest of the people around us!

we can just talk non-stop

just like how we do when we are in Secondary School whereby we ignored the teachers completely!

even at the registration counter

we started talking and talking and having chats among ourselves

so much so that I felt kind of sorry for the lady over the other side who is trying very hard to cut into our conversation, almost ready to scream:

oh well...we love to talk!

after that we had a short shopping trip at town

my intention was to buy some office wear in preparation for my internship

but I ended up buying 2 bags!

one on an impulse though =/

because Elaine said,

"when in doubt, just buy!"

blame her for coming up with that >.<

waste money! haha!

a busy weekend I had

spent with troupe members and thai team

it has been a while since I last enjoyed with them

although to be frank

the bond between us,

be it with the thai team or troupe mates,

weren't as strong as before

but I hope that time can amend all these

really wish to enjoy the whole CNY with them

looking forward to CNY =)

had my interview for internship today

it was the first ever formal interview that I had

I think it should be all right? i hope..

Its my first try for a formal interview

stepping into the building was already a hurdle as i wasn't dressed like a proper OL

paranoid me felt that those people around me were giving me those alien stares

thinking, "you kid! what are you doing here!"

(ok maybe I do not look kiddo anymore because I've permed my hair =/)

went up to the reception counter

and I was totally amazed by the professionalism of the receptionist

she greeted me too formally and addressed me by Miss Ong!

wah lao..sound so old

and her pronunciation of English was near to perfect

an old lady though, but she could speak so well

disgrace max as I stuttered almost every single word in front of her =.=

nervous ma..

then it was the interview

I went in without knowing that I was "supposed' to do a handshake with the two interviewers

and both of them stick out their hand to me

I stoned pretty long before I realised that I should do a handshake with them too

nervous ma..

the first question asked was,

"tell me more about yourself"

and I was like, so what am I suppose to tell you?

I'm a girl? I have two ears, two eyes, one nose, one mouth just like how you do?

ok I seriously do not know what to say

and so I began my answers with full of stutters with no content being conveyed

and so i stuttered all the way until I've settled my thoughts on sharing how I choose BFS as my course

=.=

I think this interview of mine is a really bad experience for me

I was nervous, so nervous

and I didn't really share a lot

I can see that they are trying very hard to find questions for me based on my student profile form so as to make the interview last longer

I can't believe I'm going to work in such environment in the coming two or three months

the office is too quiet

the set-up is too formal

the language and accent are too professional

oh how am I suppose to change from the-girl-next-door to a proper, formal OL

its a great change and a huge challenge

although sometimes, i really don't like my parents for being such a nag..

but this time round, i couldn't help but to say that they are really nice angels..

I've got a project work in school in which we are suppose to set up our own business..

our group has settled down on the sale of T-shirts.

and now.. the results of our sale were not of expectation..

our group is making quite a big loss..

this is what my mom said,

"business is like that, got win and got lose...its ok if the business failed, i will pay for your losses..."

and this is what my dad said,

"show me the design of your T-shirts, i will try to sell it to my friends.."

i kindly rejected my dad..

i mean...my dad is already in his fifties..

how could his friends be? also in their fifties? forties? or thirties?

moreover, the T-shirts that we are selling are mostly meant for BFS students..

how to sell to others with the words "BANKING AND FINANCIAL SERVICES" right at the front of the shirts?

i thank them for their concern and intentions..

love them much <3

haish...never wanted to sell T-shirts right from the start..

but 1 couldn't win the other 3...

lousy business..

can only hope that people don't be such a miser..

its already 2011 and i'm so lazy to blog....

school starts today, everything went fine except for the increased amount of stress that came in almost instantly =/

schoolwork aside, I just want to talk about how I've spent my holidays meaningfully in which I really enjoyed much..

firstly, I'm very thankful that freed souls from JC peeps came to contact me and asked me out..

in the past, I wouldn't dare to ask them out during my holidays because I've thought they were all busy and I do not wish to interrupt them from their hectic pace..

Now that the A levels are over..

I'm very happy that we've met up and spent much meaningful time together to compensate for the time that we've lost previously..

I love them.. <3>

mixed up the sequence and order of events though..

but still, I'm glad that all have happened that makes my holiday an enjoyable one...

met up with JiaLe and Pat for a shopping trip right after my exams..

get to know Patrina a little more, realised she is a crazy girl with weird little actions..

BUT i like! =)

and love JiaLe babe <3>

love how you always accompany me home..

talk to me.. spend time with me...................

haiz..just unable to express how grateful I felt but ya,

I really appreciate the fact that you gave me much of your time right after your A levels..

have been very brand conscious recently..

i can spend hours on forums in search of branded bags..

be it brand new or second hand..

i don't mind..

just wish to have my very first branded bag!

~~(ok i've got a Longchamp bag but i don't think it is very branded?)~~

but then i've been trying to control and forbid myself from buying any branded bags..

because i think it is not "morally right"!

i mean even if i have the means to buy perhaps brands like Coach or Kate Spade..

i don't have a job yet and i haven't work before..

which means i'm already spending like water even before earning my very first job's pay!

this is definitely NOT RIGHT!

and then i thought to myself..

perhaps i shall buy one next year when my attachment starts..

but how high can the pay of my attachment be?

i don't even know if its enough to feed my 3 meals plus some entertainment allowances..

and then i thought of waiting for next year's bursary which consist of a sum like 1300bucks..

but i can only get it during the start of August next year!

what a long wait! >.<

and then i tried to convince my mom to share one Kate Spade bag..

i just want her to fork out 150 bucks only..

but stingy mom just don't want to share..

she say she no money..

people like her can spend 1000+ easily on jewellery like gems and now come tell me cannot even fork out 150bucks for a bag! - win =.=

Cocoa crisis!

so after the rapid increase in the intrinsic value of commodities..

whats next should we invest in?

as i've stated in my title, Cocoa Crisis?

lets all not forget that chocolates come from cocoa trees..

and at the rate in which we are consuming rather than replanting..

chocolates might just be a luxurious item that not any Tom, Dick or Harry can afford anymore!

due to climate changes, somehow cocoa trees do not survive well..

and farmers are all seeking after more profitable plantations like rubber, palm oil etc..

who are there left to plant those cocoa trees?

younger generations all want to work in cities..

i'm sure neither you or me would want to work as farmers right!

soooooo......i think....hmm...the reason for me to state all these..

is because I WANT TO EAT ROYCE CHOCOLATES!! wakakaka!

i wanted to buy it like a few days ago after reading this news but TooT forbade me to do so because he thinks im uttering bullshit!

he doesn't believe the rising prices of cocoa powder at all >.<

perhaps it might also be due to human's misperception and speculations that cause the soaring prices too but...

i just want to eat chocolates now so that i will not regret in the future in any case if a Cadbury bar got to cost me like 10 SGD per bar! =S

training, is what i call a place where you learn and grow..

but when the place got boring, got nothing for you to learn, got nothing for you to do,

you get defiant, and the passion got distorted..

its time for a break, a break to adjust myself, my thoughts and my feelings..

training is not a means to show one's faithfulness..

not going for training isn't a crime too..

i'm not obliged for it, unlike you..

i don't have to face the stress, the finger-pointing, the "interrogation" from you..

i'm not being unfaithful or whatsoever that you can think of..

i just find that sometimes i've got better things to do..

i've got more meaningful things to do..

why can't i just have the choice of making my life more meaningful?

my saturday's night is not all about training.

i have a life..i've got more things to do..

i've attended all those trainings for the past 11 years...

just a break, a tad short break..

it isn't a crime, or something big, or something that it should be blown up..

11 years of time, isn't that enough to show that i'm part of the troupe?

using trainings to judge me, my character, my faithfulness isn't fair at all..

stop being so naive and wilful..

you are not always RIGHT

you can't always think that everyone should do it and behave like how you do..

and when one isn't like you, they are labelled as deviants..

you move away from them with minimal conversations

and the awkward feeling subsequently forms in between..

to you, friendship can just get distorted by a week..

a week is enough to create such weird feeling between us..

the past 11 years does not count at all..

but to me.. friendship is what stays on even if we are all busy with our lives..

there shouldn't be any doubts at all..

i just wish to get the message across you..

and hope you see the big picture..

and be more sensible..

training isn't a metre to measure one's faithfulness towards a troupe..

perhaps coach works this way but sorry...

tues --> spent at home..do some research for project

wed --> night going out to have dinner with toh ah le and Jay....Ken....

thurs --> going to MJ at bf's house...

going off on friday morning..

a bit excited..a bit scared too..

hopefully it would be an enjoyable trip..

haven't update my blog for quite some time..

partly because i was busy, partly because i was lazy..haha

anyway finally my exams are over!!!!!!~ WOOHOO!!!

and my well-deserved break is here!

it's going to be quite boring for me during this holidays because TooT started his attachment already..

which means no time for me =(

but it's ok...i've still got friends! =D

life is not about revolving around "love" only right! teehee!

( i told jiale that i will go find her and help her jiayou for her A Levels..serve tea buy dinner anything no problem! haha! =D )

parents went to Malaysia last friday..

and so i actually seized this chance and went over to TooT's house and Mahjong throughout the whole night! hoho!

played with him, parents, and cousins..

very enjoyable and super funny to see them irritating each other LOL!

but TooT's attachment started already..

when will our next Mahjong session be leh? hmm..

saturday woke up at 1+pm..

went his house downstairs for lunch..

then went up his house for movie..

and later took a cab to BP because i was late for performance already..

actually i was NOT late de..

but waited for a taxi for damn LONG..

walked damn LONG a journey to find a taxi..

stupid weather is making me very irritated too..

and then i started throwing tantrums at TooT..opps!

when i reached home it was like 5+pm already..

tied up my hair and prepared everything

then chiong-ed to CC le..

was late by 20 min! =S

by the time i reached there everyone was already in full uniform..

i'm SHOCKED! O.O!

very hardworking and rehearsing for the drum performance already.. woah!

luckily i didnt played the drum for performance if not i think i will get scolded ba..haha

luminous dragon was kind of bad to me..lol..

is very "gei kiang" de hit my head with the pearl! haha

sunday went out for a date with TooT..

we went from Bugis to Marina Bay to Clarke Quey

specially went to Clarke Quey to buy Sticky!

this is the-very-nice-bf-to-me yesterday...

he bought me 3 pairs of earrings when i said i accidentally dropped my favourite earring into the basin hole last week! <3

he also bought me a "love mix" Sticky for me and i couldn't bear to open it because it looked so sweet and nice and most importantly it was bought by him! <3

those pictures aren't very well-taken because i don't know why the photographer uses night mode..

and all the dragon pictures turned out kinda eerie and ghostly =S

anyway..yup! i think i haven't update anything about my training recently..

so here it is..! =)

finally tried out luminous dragon training yesterday!

was very fun..very very fun!~

i love luminous dragon!

(and Jasper loves it too but he is not there yesterday!!)

even though our standard wasn't very high..

our speed wasn't the greatest..

our stunts weren't the most difficult ones..

but still i'm glad that we are finally starting to train our luminous dragon back!

upcoming performances ahead for mooncake festival!

can't wait to perform! =)
think the last time i had one proper on-stage luminous dragon performance was during those "xiao long dui" days..

now finally its the big dragon..

nervous YET happy

(i sound like some suagu but oh well..i am that SUAGU for lumi lor! =.=)

the food wasn't very great..

YOG!!! YOG!!!

i'm usually not that into sports channel..

but i couldn't help but to hook myself onto this YOG!

watching various matches and forsaking my studies temporary...

i know YOG is none of my business..

and i do not have any sports that has got a single link with me..

but i just don't know why i'm so interested in YOG!!

perhaps its held in Singapore?

perhaps its the first Youth Olympic Games?

i don't know..but i just get interested in the games!

Singapore just won in the football match!!!

woohoo!!! congrats! =)

suddenly turned all-so-patriotic and starts supporting Singapore team..

but of course.. i couldn't help but to criticise when some teams did really badly.. =S

i know i'm bad and shouldn't discount their efforts..

but you know..i think typical Singaporeans like me are just like that!

only use-one-mouth-to-talk and thinks its easy...

next i want to talk about TAEKWONDO!!

i think i would really love Taekwondo if i were to be given a chance to learn when i was young!

i love to see Taekwondo matches..

and i would really like to give some good kicks to my opponents!

Taekwondo is such a cool sport man!

i think much cooler than lion/dragon dance..

don't know why i learn lion/dragon dancing when i was young lor..

and now im too old for Taekwondo =.=

PS: i think the Malay girl who helped Singapore to win the bronze medal is such a pretty girl! =)

but i really do love to read facts/histories/informations

sometimes i can just watch some tv programmes and went internet searching for some things which i do not know and doesn't concern about me at all..

i feel more knowledgeable..

i like it when the "contents" in my brain increased..

i don't know whats with me..

but i just love the feeling of knowing "more"..

it may, or may not be captured inside me forever..

but at least i've once acquired them and i don't feel that i'm wasting time in this amazing world.

sometimes, i feel that i think a lot..

and i really mean a lot...

from individual..to society.. to nation.. and then to the world..

i feel that the past is scary..and same goes to the future..

im afraid whats left for us in the future..

this is what we will often hear..

but how true is that?

and i beg to differ..

i hate the unpredictability of whats ahead for us..

i often feel that the world would be in a mess of chaos..

i tend to think that.....

- the rich would get richer and the poor would get poorer

- humans turn more selfish as they get smarter and acquire more in life

- people who rose in power often forgot where they come from and lose their identity

- the world would be in a constant battle as oil depletes in around 2030

all right.

whatever the future may be.

i guess i got to just face it, be brave, be strong..

i hope i would successfully get into the financial sector..

found a stable job..and..

i just want to graduate from NP with a high GPA and enter a local uni!

i'm so into Greek Mythology ever since after watching the movie

"Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief"..

and next, "Clash of the Titans"

even though the movie mentioned in the latter wasn't fantastic..

but it is still appreciative for the fact that some Greek Mythological Creatures were filmed inside and it actually gives me a better idea of how it looks like..

later on..

what really hooks me to Greek Mythology is the game, God of War!

till date, i've completed part 2 and 3!

gory, violent but yet informative and interesting!

name of various Greek Gods..

i think i've learnt it quite well already!

i'm glad for such knowledge..

but does it really help me in any ways?

i wonder if JC GP would test on Greek Mythology since i've deemed it as GK?

*oh slapped*

i think i should be back to reality!

never have i been interested in History Channel

but the only show that attracts me is "Clash of the Gods"!

yesh! Greek Mythology, again!

very informative, very convincing!

"do you know that Cyclops is the son of Poseidon?"

"do you know that a hideous creature like Medusa actually leads a very pitiful life?"

this show not only recites the myths of the Ancient Greek..

but it also connects it back to life!

it shows various evidence (like remains of creatures, discovery of long-lost cities/palaces)

left behind by Ancient Greeks to prove credibility of such myths!

and you will go like..

"wow? is this really the Labyrinth that is used to trap Minotaur?"

"does Cyclops really exist?"

and a timid me sometimes do feel scared as i watch this show and got convinced that everything does really happened before..

i got a little lost and afraid..

then i asked TooT,

"What if Gaia (a Titan who is the mother of Earth) do really exist?"

and he snapped my wild imagination by saying,

"come on! do you really think that the whole Earth can actually be supported by a Titan?!"

and come to think of it..

hmm..quite impossible?

for scientist had already discovered the existence of outer space!

his words do really calm me down a lot =)

even though i do not really believe in the Greek Mythology

i'm still very interested to learn and acquire more knowledge on it.

perhaps archaeologists would prove me wrong some day with their new discoveries?

hmm..nevertheless..

i will continue to watch "Clash of Gods" every week on History Channel with TooT =)

although my 18th Birthday was mostly spent on the dull bus ride home from Genting to Singapore..

but receiving the birthday wishes from various friends, sisters, babes, girlfriend, boyfriend..

i like it when i know that there are people around me who still remember my Birthday..

i think i ought to reflect 0n myself too..

Massive Clearout

proud to show everyone the end result of my cupboard! :D

still looks kind of messy but the "before" look of my cupboard is definitely much more horrendous than this.

i've tried my best to clear out a lot of clothes already..

but some compulsory clothings like lion dance uniforms..formal wear..my secondary school uniforms.. all these clothes are cannot be thrown and is occupying quite a fair bit of my cupboard >=(

wanted to have a bigger cupboard but the room is just too small..

messaged PZ that i've thrown lots of unbearable stuff away..

stuff such as posters, calendars, stickers of various idols/artistes...

in which both of us had spent our heart and soul and sweat and money to grab it one..

(those who know us will know that we used to be two crazy idiots who idolized a very face-thowing and used-to-be-famous ~~pop~~ group 5566 =.=)

some posters are limited editions, some with authentic signatures..

really is line up for hours to have those posters signed one ok?!

and i just crushed all of them..threw them down into the rubbish chute..

is heart-wrenching and pain de when i actually crushed those stuff with my own hands..

but i'm very sure i won't have them pasted on my walls anymore..

and i doubt if i would to sell it there would be any buyers..

so...just.........THROW...

and my mom is very supportive of my actions even though those were spent using her money..LOL!

wanted to throw away all the albums that i've bought de also..

but mom couldn't bear to let me throw away..

then just asked me to put in the living room.

well..at least those two boxes of albums are out of my cupboard! :D

i'm four days late for this blog post!

woke up too early for the event

estimated the wrong journey time

decided to stop by town a while first for breakfast, alone

before heading down to Raffles Place

camwhore a while by myself since i've got too much spare time

Me and Ivan last minute took up the roles as Game Masters for the fun trail

we got lucky and had been tasked to be in charged of a game station just inside the ACM itself

while others had to station outside the ACM

tolerating the harsh weather conditions

CCA points just came in like that without having me to perspire

i like it! =)

finished our responsibilities way to0 early

me and Ivan explored the whole ACM

its creepy, dark and quite boring

i'm surprised and impressed that tourists do come to ACM

i would never like to visit such museums when i'm in other countries >.<

played around a little with the stuffs in the museum

i hope the security guards do not go complaining to NP that

"THERE WERE 2 NP STUDENTS WHO WERE DAMN NOISY AND WERE MISBEHAVING IN THE MUSEUM!!"

life is mundane..

revolving around studies (mainly), dating and training...

working hard to manage all these three..

but it's tiring..

sometimes i wonder why i work so hard for?

work hard to get a high GPA that allows you to enter uni..

after uni..you receive your desired degree..

and then you would be stuck at your profession for like almost the rest of your life?

is life really that boring or what?

perhaps i've discounted the enjoyable moments..

but definitely for sure..

the boring part outweighs the enjoyable moments..

to update about my life!

i'm already in the week 3 of my Year 2 life!

i've chosen to enter into the financial sector..

the modules that i'm taking this sem all relate to finance, finance and more FINANCE!

getting sick of it..but i've chosen this myself

no regret!

but every modules looks about the same which kind of confuses me!

Financial Management, Financial Planning, Financial Regulation and Practices

all these three modules look similar huh?

realise the importance of POA after taking all these modules..

wonder why i studied E-maths and A-maths in sec. school then... =.=

i know it's not an option for me..

but just don't understand why POA is for the weaker students when lots of modules regarding finance are all build on POA!

being a 4 pointer is not easy..

all eyes would be on you..

people would expect you to do well..

expect you to be the most intelligent of all..

but can't i just do it out of dilligence?

i'm definitely not the most intelligent of all..

i learn from others too..

when in doubt..i ask my friends for help..

i know when i have many doubts

it makes me look and feel stupid..

but that doesn't stop me from clearing my doubt!

i'm afraid that i couldn't maintain my GPA this sem..

people would doubt your ability..

and perhaps have the thinking that "you are just lucky during last sem"

although i kind of believe that im a bit of lucky to achieve 4.0 last sem..

but i also want to prove to others that i have the ability to do it too

it would probably make me feel better with no guilt....

(i think i didn't receive any level award with a GPA of 4.0! =O

did i really achieve my results base on luck or what? O.o?)

lastly..i've taken Flash CS4 lesson this term..

and Psychology for the next term..

i'm looking forward to learning about Psychology

but Flash CS4 for me? hmm...

i can't even draw well on a paper..

i wonder how am i going to cope with digital art!

reminiscing about the good old days...

just found the plastic pocket holder of my detachable file in which i used in secondary school..

didn't know that it was kept in the file which my mom kept all my certificates since from young till now..

very surprised to unearth the plastic folder out of the heaps of useful/useless certs..

the plastic holder contains all the memorable stuff/cards/motivational notes/cute drawings/competition photos that i didn't bear to throw it away..

and when i took the stuffs out and have a quick glance and read through again..

all the memories just flew back to me..

and you feel a sudden tinge of warmness that really melts your heart..

sub-consciously...you began to smile blindly at those little heart-melt stuffs..

i don't feel that i'm alone anymore..

even though i'm the only one stuck at a tertiary institution whereby my best of friends were all not around me nor anywhere near me..

i know we will always stay in touch..

i always know we will..

i love my friends, my babes, my sisters.. <3

mad gory and disgusting game but it's just so nice and fun to play!!~

it's almost near-to-impossible not to complete this game with the aid of a game guide!

luckily i've chiong-ed finish the game before the the holiday ends ^^

played from 12pm to 11.30pm today..

going to sleep soon..

but i'm scared that i would have nightmares =(

images and scenes of the game would just appear before me when i close my eyes..

can't stop thinking about this mad gory and violent and cruel and ruthless game!

think it would take some days to get rid of these images out of my mind.. GRRR! >.<

Band Competition

it was the bi-annual event SYF Display Band Competition 2010 yesterday..

i've always thought that i do not want to associate myself with band anymore after i graduated..

but then, i still went to watch the band videos and asked my friends for the competition results..

and is scheduled to gossip and chit-chat with the girls tomorrow - xinfang's birthday =)

lots of memories flew back to me.

those were really tough days..

the damn freaking hot sun, the tiring drills and marching..and the out-of-breath playing of music!

but it was also the toughness that made all these memories a vivid and unforgettable one..

a once in a lifetime experience in Military Band!

didn't regret although my experience wasn't a great and enjoyable one..

watched the videos and realised that it is really very hard on band members nowadays..

not only do they need to play music, they also need to dance and even SING

perhaps the "singing" part still havent reach BP Band yet..

but if the trend goes on, it might be possible one day?!~

looking at the current BP band's performance..

it wasn't a great one...definitely..

but still appreciate the effort and enjoyed the performance..

feels that the band is so different already...

uniform changed..

the way they hentak also changed..

but love the way the band members indulged in the music and swayed with the rhythm

because it seems like the members are enjoying while performing

whereas during my year..

i was cursing hard for the end of the performance because it's god damn tiring and not enjoyable at all >.<

the flag team looks much more interesting too..

they spin and dance with the flags..

it looks so nice >.<

had always wanted to try spinning the flags but never have the chance to..

just wondering if the flag team consists of band members or dancers? O.o?

haha..after saying so much..

i guess i'm still kinda interested in the progress of BP band even though i've graduated..

had to wait for another two years before the competition is going to hold again!!

yesterday..TooT told me that i've got an "ah lian" face..

and it got me puzzled and i pondered for quite some time..

so now..

what exactly is the definition of an ah lian?

do you define an ah lian by the face? the behaviour? or their dressing styles?

or is it simply because of the fact that i'm in a lion dance troupe thats why there's got this "ah lian" aura all around me? =S

ok..i hope this would be the lousiest reason that i could think of....

The Face...

to me..a typical ah lian face would be one with ~~thick~~ make-up..

with long fake lashes coupled with thick eyeliner..

some would have a few metal rings and studs poking on random areas around their faces i guess..

crazy hairstyles? hair colours? especially long straight brown hair..

and because of this fact..

anyone who also has long straight brown hair would give others the impression that

"ohh..you are an "ah lian"...

and this forbids others to having long straight brown hair because they do not wish to deem as an ah lian...

unfair right!? hmm...

and i do think the majority of ah lians look kinda pretty

for i must admit that they do know how to doll up themselves..

i mean..even artistes do put on thick make-up, long fake lashes and eyeliner so as to look good and attractive on tv..

and yes they've succeeded in doing so...

with many fans supporting their respective favourite artistes..

so my main point is..

ah lians and artistes are both pretty people..

but i don't understand why ah lians are mainly despised..

for i myself..don't really like the idea of being an ah lian too....

how does an ah lian behave?

smoking? swearing? drinking? stays out of home at late nights?

ok..i will just skip the behaviour part because i really don't know.

The Dressing Styles...

an ah lian dresses slutty-ly?

short skirts? exaggerating stockings?

with all sorts of accessories dangling around them?

revealing, skimpy clothing?

perhaps..perhaps..

and after stating all these about my ideal ah lian kind of image..

the most fun part of the lion dance training yesterday was not the dragon, not the drum and definitely not the lion....

but a few skipping ropes that made us all panted like a mad dog!~

knee hurts after the training..

think i've got weak knees..

i always convince myself that "i'm growing" whenever my knees hurt at night =)

wahahaha..deluding may not be a bad thing afterall =)

the dumb TooT came to BP and waited for me for my training ends <3

he came with a piece of New York Cheesecake that really surprises me <3

never expect him to come to BP though...

so i quickly rushed off after training..

accompanied him to BPP to eat his dinner..

ok..got back my results today!!

actually had two nightmares before i actually woke up at 8+ to check my results..

first dream..dreamt that i got 3.8+ again..

second dream..remembered very clearly that i've got a 3.96!

and the second dream seemed so true that i actually really thought that i've gotten a 3.96 when i woke up!

i thought i sub-consciously checked my results in the half-awake kind of state..

then when i forced myself to really wake up at 8+..

i realise i've got straight As..

thought my eyes were playing tricks on me..

because i had too much dreams about my results and had no idea which results are the correct one..

then not long after i receive the sms from NP..

and i confirmed my results..

ok...i think i'm kind of a crazy girl..

i literally jumped for joy in my room lor!!!

WAHAHAHAHA..

is damn damn damn happy!!!!!

then sms my dearests about my results

and tell them how high i am!!!!! hahaha

then ran to my dad and showed him my results..

not too much of a big reaction..

but he got say "congrats" to me...haha

a day out with TooT yesterday..

met at Bugis..went Arab Street..Dinner at Dhoby Ghaut

a sumptuous and costly dinner we had..

but everything was worthwhile =)

along the streets of Arab Street..

makes me feel like a tourist...

CNY just passed like that!!

it was this fast that i didn't blogged anything about CNY!! haha

this year CNY was a bit different for me..

not much of lion dancing..not much of visits to relatives' houses...

didn't get to meet up with friends too..

all that i'm concerned about is my final year exams..

had been studying for my exams during CNY

hopefully i can qualify for the top 10% in my course this time round..

i really did study hard and had sacrificed my CNY time for it..

went to watch "Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief" yesterday..

was really impressed by the movie..

it was really very nice..

in fact i think it's so much nicer than avatar!!

i really love it a lot and couldn't help recalling about the scenes that happened in the movie..

the plot was pretty new and refreshing to me..

thanks to my bf for explaining to me about the different gods and monsters in the movie that the Greeks believed..

i totally had no idea about Greek Mythology at all..

ohh btw...

don't get the wrong idea that my bf is someone who is soooooo knowledgeable...

he merely learned about the Greek Mythology through GAMES!!!

*sigh* my bf is really a hard core gamer!!!

weekends are here...and i'm gonna enjoy it =)

gonna spend most of my time during weekends with TooT

because this would be the last weekend that we can really go out and enjoy...

went for performance today...

rushed from school to cc...

i really is literally run to cc because i was already late..

but then people say i trying to act one running to cc..

others say they are used to my lateness already..

today went to some law law place..

and saw offices like "International Centre for Dispute Resolution"..

and "Singapore International Arbitration Centre"..

and when i read all these signs..

seriously i felt an instant happiness within me..

suddenly feel glad that all those things that i've learnt about in Poly..

like abitration, litigation, mediation..

all these law terms are right in front of me..

and i feel knowledgeable when i can actually read and understand those words..

then..i start to think a bit wild like..

"would i work in this kinda place in future?"

hahaha.. i know it's pretty impossible..

for there are so much things about law in which i haven't learn..

but oh well....

i like the fact that the things i've learnt in school actually exist right in front of me..

i don't know how to pen down my happiness..

but just imagine..

if you see a panda picture in the textbook and you really love it a lot..

ok today didn't turn out to be a good day for me..

i think today is really the first time that i've suffered real gastric pain..

i don't like it when the school declared the first week of CNY as study week..

i don't like it even more when the final year exam is fixed at the second week of CNY

grrr....irritated...

does that mean that poly students always don't get to celebrate CNY since exam dates were always fixed at that kind of stupid-idiotic-brainless kind of timing?

or is it that the lecturers and tutors were all so selfish enough that they purposely fixed the study week and FYE during CNY..

so that they can enjoy their CNY while students are stressing about their exams?

ok..perhaps i'm crazy enough to have this wild thought..

but seriously..i don't get it..

i can't think of any reasonable explanation for this kinda arrangement..

it sucks totally...

i foresee that non-Chinese would do better for their FYE =S

parents came back from Malaysia yesterday..

i'm very impressed by my mom's ability to shop..

she had gone to Genting for umpteen times..

and everytime she goes..

she is bound to bring back some shopping loots.

but i don't know why..

some how..she had the ability to do it!

totally impressed........

all right..she bought me two pairs of earrings which i think it really looks nice..

she also bought me one long-sleeved shirt..

although not to my liking

(it looks quite ginna and childish to me)..

but no matter what i will still have to wear it..

since she had already bought it.

must show my appreciation to her buyings..haha

then lastly..she bought me 1.1kg of gummies!!!

suddenly feels like getting myself a camera..

wanted my parents to buy me one but cannot find the appropriate time to propose this idea to them =S

or should i just wait till my birthday is nearer??

rona has a camera and she would bring it for CNY..

- is there really a need for double cameras?

- would it be a hassle for the photographers to switch cameras?

- would it be troublesome for those people who are smiling and posing as they need to wait for one more camera to snap their smiles down?

moreover..rona's crumpler has got no room for an additional camera liao..

on the other hand..

i really need this camera..

turning 18 this year..need to snap down all the birthday celebrations..

next thing..my iPhone has got no video function..

really need a camera to record videos down..

lastly..i think the lack of camera has really caused me to lose some snapshots of the beautiful moments that occur during the different stages of my life..

school started since two days ago..

everyday was hectic for me =(

rushing projects...irritated by shitty group member..

stress by upcoming tests...

shocked and worried by the sudden realization of how slow and delayed our group is for project work..

a lot of unexpected stuff happening around me.. =.=

i'll conquer it..i know i will...

took back some of my CT results and project work grades..

realised that i do not care much for my results like before..

no longer ask myself why i could only score 90 when half of the class can score 90+

won't reproach myself for not getting an AD when i've gotten an A grade

won't land myself into the emo emo state when i've gotten a B and set myself thinking how to work hard to achieve my A grade.....

i don't know is it good or bad that i do not ask for much anymore?

but definitely.. i feel lighter this way..

lets see..how my GPA will be for this sem...awaiting....

all right..just wanna share one ridiculous thing that happened today..

today is the submission day for our project work..

our group went to print out the proposal + peer appraiser form..

peer appraiser form as everyone knows..its purpose is to catch free riders..

and of course..theres got this free rider in our group..

ok i shall name him Guy X

he followed me, Guy Y and Guy Z to the printing shop to print out our project work

i believe he followed us to the shop as he wanted to see if we would mark him down in the peer appraiser form..

and so...no one dared to write Guy X's name down on the form in front of him..

therefore..we came out with a plan

the plan goes like this:

while Guy Y and Guy Z together with free rider Guy X went for lunch at Makan Place..

i will be the one responsible to submit our project work at blk72 level 9 since i'm not eating

and i'm suppose to fill up the peer appraisal form secretly after leaving the three guys..

in other words..i will be the baddie who fill up the form without the knowledge of guy X

ok..and so..initially the plan worked out pretty fine..

i went to blk 72 level 9 while the three other guys went to Makan Place to eat..

i thought i was in a very safe spot to fill up the form when i'm at level 9..

however.. when i was almost done with the form..

the lift door opened..and i saw GUY X walking out from the lift!!

and so..he saw me filling up the peer appraiser form..yeah..

how unlucky can i be! hoho...

such a suay thing can also happen on me.. >.<

of course..i think he should know that our group wanted to mark him down so badly as we were pretty obvious in hinting him beforehand..

and so..after getting shocked by the appearance of Guy X..

i've sent an sms to kb Guy Y for not informing me that Guy X had already left them for some other places..

then..i was told by Guy Y that Guy X said he was going to OurSpace instead of blk 72 level 9

so..my guess was..

Guy X knew that we would mark him down and went to blk 72 level 9 to check out on me..

and i was caught red handed!! hoho!! suay like shit! haha

but i'm not gonna care..don't like Guy X either..

i wouldn't mind if we are not friends or classmates..

i don't really need him at all....

i know i'm a great big baddie this time round

but Guy X's previous groupmates were more mean to him than me..

he really deserved to be marked down as agreed by the group..

just hope that my actions would cause him not to group with me in the future =)

last day of my common test..

i remembered i went home, changed and went to bugis to have steamboat with my babes! =D

i love it when the three of us are together..

a lot of memories would start flowing back..

later on zheng wei joined us..

nice to see him..still the same old face..haha

and we ate for pretty long..

from like 12+pm (and even earlier for my two babes) to 4+pm i guess..

we ate so long that the person at the restaurant started to do all sorts of that that she could to chase us out!

haha..but we are also not easy to bully de..

we just heck care about her..

continued with our chats =)

chatted about the rebellious days in secondary school..

concluded that ah cai got into the most troubles =) haha

later on went to Bugis to walk walk and then back home..exhausted..

reported to CC early in the morning..

saw the Thailand people..greeted them..and it all started out a bit weird..

perhaps we haven't seen each other for a long time..

thats why it took some time for us to get to "re-know" each other..

trained drums with them till afternoon..

ears going deaf soon..for they really hit the drums damn hard..

then it was dragon training time..

initially felt quite worried for them..

they kept making mistakes for the first few rounds..

then later on they got smoother and smoother..

and even surpassed us..

felt really happy for them and at the same time..

feeling stress for the competition the next day

and then evening's time, went to Singapore Expo to perform for longshi anni.

a sucky and screwed up performance...haha

after performance we immediately chiong back to cc already.

dead-tired and home sweet home =)

competition day..

reported to cc very early too..

ehh..i've forgotten what happened already..

i think we trained drums in the morning..

around noon went to set up competition ground and trained our dragon..

our two dragons =)

the pearl for the green dragon is spoilt!

dropped down from quite a high height and the surface of the pearl got torn =(

had to take the mismatching long ugly silver pearl for comp! >.<

had our last minute training..

everything did not go well..

first time using the silver pearl

the stick of the pearl is damn long..

and it became a hazard to those dragon people =(

no matter how hard i tried to keep the pearl close to me..

it's still obstructing their way and some even kicked/tripped over it..

don't know what to do..

just feel like discarding the pearl that day....

huang kun got cut by my pearl..

felt damn guilty that day =(

almost cried out..

could only keep apologising to him..

but he didn't blame me and keep comforting me by saying "it's ok...it's ok.."

felt really relieved upon hearing that =)

our own initiation to train under the hot sun...

everyone really determined to solve the problem before comp starts!

so went to my relative's house rot while mom played MJ..

left at 6.30pm and headed to UBK to wait for TooT to finish his performance then had dinner together...

observed that many weird people exist in UBK... =.=

alright..waited for 1hour plus..

finally saw him..and we went to Bugis's Mac for dinner..haha

then we went to watch "Sherlock Holmes" after the project..

it was quite a nice movie to me..

just that those characters in the movie spoke too fast..

and i can't catch what they say for some parts!! >.<

the day started off with volleyball

but the 4 noobshits there don't know how to play volleyball..

then played the game monkey instead! haha

ran around like crazy little children..

i'm back from Genting!

it's pretty cold there..

and i realise i'm quite afraid of cold..

i actualy wore two jackets and a pair of gloves! haha.

is wear until very exaggerating..

but it's really very cold cold cold.......lol

watched the lion dance comp..

it's awesome! really enjoyed myself

and i really like the competition style..

team members there are very polite..

in fact..i think it's more polite than our local teams.

almost every team bows to the audience upon hearing their results..

results announced very quickly too with no "meeting"

3min of prop's preparation..i like!

which means i can watch the performance one after another with little breaks! =)

double lions are interesting..

hope it would be posted up on the net! =D

don't know if i should participate in competition already

find it no point to participate anymore if the decisions are already set so too soon

just came back from lot one..

watched the movie "2012" with troupe people..

this movie is kinda boring to me..

and it's too exaggerated for me to believe actually all these things are going to happen..

had a very bad training yesterday..

bad as in its damn tiring..like hell...lol

perhaps it's because i haven't run and exercise for a long time.

i wasn't in the right state..

face gone pale after playing with the obstacles..

i knew i wasn't feeling well already before running the obstacles because i feel like throwing out and was damn giddy after coach asked me to do the first "demonstration" - shuttle run...

i thought i couldn't complete the whole routine

but then in the end..i "over-complete" it..haha

i stopped for a while when playing the dragon..

then i realised the dragon head was already behind me..

stressing me and pushing me to continue to run and run and run..

and so i dragged my body to run and jump..

mind completely blank and i've no idea what i'm jumping already..

therefore in the end i ran two rounds instead of the usual one and a half round..

was a complete joker yesterday..

did a lot of weird "extra" stuff while playing the dragon...

is very sorry to the dragon people =(

wanna go gym with rona soong every friday to train up our stamina..

how long could our diligence last? lol

next sat's and sun's got performance..

but sad..i've gone to Genting already..

why is it that when i'm not in Singapore then there's got performance? haha

not in the luck i guess..

really did not wear my performance uniform for a long time le...LOL

i know it has been some time since i last blogged..

because life is mundane for me..

nothing much had really happened

i'm still very busy with my school work and of course..

i can feel the stress coming in..

this sem gonna be a tough sem i guess..

i heard and saw many people working really hard..

revising through lectures slides etc..

while me, tutorials are enough to fill my pathetic timeslots already..

i really should find some time going through the lecture slides...

provided that if i'm really that hardworking... =.=

i really want to improve or maintain my GPA this sem!!

and so...today i went out to have a dinner with ah cai..

surprisingly, Elaine Lame is the pilot for the day and not me! haha

we chit-chatted a lot, gossiped a lot, criticised a lot...

and i really find that she is a total replica of me..

we experienced the same problems, situations before..

whereby we also collected newspapers around the neighbourhood flats near our school

an annual event..

overall its a tiring but fun experience..

oh man, i don't understand why my face is a bit burnt when it's cloudy and having slight drizzle today at Sentosa!! GOSH!!

i had my most terrifying time today..

was supposed to meet 5.40pm at CC

but 5.30pm i'm still at vivo!

went to the taxi stand there, lots of people queuing up..

rushed to somewhere else to flagged a cab!

luckily got it quite soon

thanks to some really nice people for help.. =)

so while on the cab..

i've changed into my lion dance shoes aka fishmonger shoes,

my lion dance shirt,

and most incredibly..my lion dance pants! haha

i actually did all these changes in a cab! haha

i think i am li hai!! lol..

i was so afraid that i would be damn late..

or get scolded for not changing into uniform when i'm already late! >.<

luckily the lorry haven't left when i reached CC..

quickly went to put my bag in the storeroom and then up the lorry, moved off =)

most unforgettable chu dui experience..haha

it's damn hot to wear two tops!! >.<

dragon dance was slack!

all thanks to the rain..

i basically just took the pearl and walked throughout..

no pattern, no difficult move..

is literally WALK! haha

not forgetting to spin the pearl.. lol..

was damn nervous for Japan drum..

i think it's because we've never performed drums for a very long time

and that it was the first time we are performing Japan drums.

did not make much mistakes..

just very unhappy and dissatisfied with the drum sticks!

its damn huge and heavy..

very soft sound when hitting the drums..

YUCKS!

i hate the drumsticks!!!!

like i've mentioned earlier on in my previous post...

i went for a reunion dinner with the girls! =)

had lots of fun, lots of laughter..as usual..

they have changed a lot too..

in terms of their hair length *envy*

it has grown very long lur...

except for mine..still as short as ever..haha

i miss the days when we are in 4P2 leh...

very memorable and fun..

very chatty when with ah cai,

we can have a never-ending talk..

best at chatting in the midst of lessons,

till the teachers couldn't bother about the two of us anymore

very lame when with Elaine Lame,

she can always pop up with some lame jokes,

my going-to-school partner too,

and the both of us were always on the dot aka almost late and had to literally RUN to school at times

very hardworking when with Regina,

she is very conscientious in her work,

and i would ask her for help whenever i need,

a very helpful friend who would always help me,

good luck for your promos! ^^

anyway, finally returned ah cai her stuff..

and finally receive my medal..

Elaine Lame says i'm very sua gu..

cause other BPians already took a picture of it and posted it somewhere long time ago..

and i took a picture of it only today..2 October... =.=

went for a dinner with Elaine Lame today. =)

very happy to see her again!!

on the outside.she changed a lot

her hair grew so long man...

but on the inside..she is still as lame as ever...

we talked alot of craps..

it has been a long time since i've been so high during dinner le..haha

remembered one damn funny joke..

so damn funny that it's still lingering in my mind..haha

i wanna blog about my TW trip..

but lazy cousin haven't send me the photos yet.. =X

coupled with my laziness..

the post would be postponed! LOL!

anyway..yesterday, i went out with drummer

watched the movie "phobia 2"

actually its not very scary..

but both of us are damn cat..lol

ok..drummer toot is worst than me..

he freaking jerked at the scene when the character was just opening the door =.=!!

haha.. damn funny =X lol

and i was very "purple" yesterday...

haha..purple bag, purple jacket, purple shoelaces..lol

all bought in TW..

im a purple lover! =D

then later on, i went for training..haha

like finally...i went for training!! LOL!!

didn't go for quite a lot of times le..

pathetic attendance..but i still did enjoy, i did have fun =)

didn't exercise for a very long time le..

finally i perspired and panted like a mad dog yesterday

hoho...is damn shiok! =D

interesting things that happen include,

- yanbing and TTT jump poles and had some really comical falls..

- sister took longzhu for dragon, in which i laughed throughout cause he looked really cartoon with it..haha

(sister is very happy after the training that he even messaged me to tell me that its the first time he took a longzhu! LOL!! i'm glad that i've seen his "first time" and had a good laugh at it! =X haha..im a devil! =D)

- ah ben gor took the dragon head..very funny also..haha

poor rona missed out all these precious scenes..lol

hopefully there would still be a next time! haha
